About Me

My name is Chris.  In November 2010, I hit rock bottom.  I weighed 330 lbs and was going nowhere in life.  I was depressed.  I ate a lot.  I was not the person I used to be.  So I decided I was going to live life and start working out.  I just didn't know how.

 
I saw a movie on YouTube called "My 120 pound journey".  Ben Davis was in the same boat as I was.  He decided to start running.  He had lost 120 pounds, ran a marathon and completed an Iron Man.  If he could do it, so could I.  So Jan 3rd, 2011, I started running.

I researched and found a program called Couch to 5k.  I started running around my neighborhood.  I thought I was going to die.  It was the hardest thing I ever did. But I kept going.

I joined a gym and started making friends.  My brother, Steven, started running with me and going to they gym as well.  It was great.  The weight started coming off, and I was really progressing in my running program.  Next thing I knew, I was running 30 minutes at a time.  I signed up for my first 5k and loved it.

I am now training for a marathon.  I have lost over 85 pounds, and I have run 30 miles in one week.  I have changed my life!  I am feeling great and love being healthy.  If I could do this, anyone can!
