Doctor's Orders

I finally went to see the doctor.  They did some labs and tests, and I am waiting to hear back on them.  I am not supposed to run/work out until next week.  So instead of being frustrated about it, I am looking at it as a positive.  Time to recharge my batteries, get healthy, and rock it next week.  I was supposed to run 15 miles this Saturday, so that is frustrating.  I was looking forward to the long run.  I will make it up!

What have you done when you were sick to keep the fitness you had?  I heard that you can start losing your base from 5 days of no working out?  That is not good news for me!

Well Roy and I have been going to the gym together for almost two weeks now and for some reason my shins have started burning. I can't even walk on the treadmill hardly. So I have just decided to try the elliptical, it's less pressure on the lower part of my leg. So for me adjustment when possible just to make sure I can keep working out. Of course if the doc says no it's probably best to heed his advice! Hope you get feeling better soon.
