Bad Day

Emotionally it was a ruff day today.  I want to be outside but it is -10.  I slept in 20 minutes more than I wanted, so I couldn't get to the gym.  Worked out in the house but it didn't feel like I got that great of a workout.  I watched biggest loser last night and caught myself thinking...  How can I lose the weight when I don't have Bob or Jillian yelling at me or talking me through it.  I know that is silly, but I am realizing I have a lot more than just weight I am working through.  I have years of bad habits and low self esteem.

I don't want to follow the pattern I have always done.  Work like crazy and a month or so in, I burn out and quit...  I want to make it a life style change.  It has just been a ruff day already...

Changing the accumulated bad habits of a lifetime takes time and determination. You have the determination in spades, now you just need to have the patience with yourself that you will get there. Because you will, one day (even bad ones) at a time.

My dear friend. Look where you are and where you have come from. Take things one day at a time. I believe this last CES fireside was made just for you.

I'm behind you 100% buddy!! Keep it up. Don't set yourself back, but look forward to each day.

Sorry Chris, but do not give up, it'll only make you feel worse. Maybe don't expect too much of yourself? Baby steps so you don't get burnt out. Running 3 days a week and then maybe lifting some weights on the others (and then walking at lunch if you can). Are you able to give yourself mini rewards along the way? What is something you would really want? Maybe a new shirt, new sunglasses, new running shoes, etc. once you lose 30 lbs or whatever number you give yourself. My mom would always get earrings once she lost so much weight on her plan. Think of something, but you can TOTALLY do it!!
